Please join us for OpenCity Derby, an accompanied sound walk composed by Liv Carlin-Thompson, Charlotte Marron, Alison Squires, Emily Stollery, Demi Hill, Miriam Willott and Harry Walker, all students from the Fine Art course at Nottingham Trent University, in collaboration with artist Andrew Brown.

The walk will take participants through and around the topographies of the city, exploring and playing with our habitual perceptions of it, and will conclude with an informal discussion. A preloaded iPod and headphones will be provided to participants for the duration of the walk. Due to the pace and the variable nature of the route the walk is not recommended for people with limited mobility.

Andrew Brown is a Senior Lecturer on the interdisciplinary Fine Art course at NTU and is a leading exponent of the medium of the sound walk, which he applies as a tactical and critical tool in a collective re-imagining of the sonic and human environment.
