Krysia Kordecki

Krysia graduated from Glasgow School of Art's Sculpture & Environmental Art programme in 2013. Since then she has worked as an Arts Specialist at Hospitalfield Arts in Arbroath, been artist in residence at Scottish Sculpture Workshop in Lumsden, taken part in a Goethe-funded Audio Workshop in Croatia and this year exhibited her first solo show as part of Glasgow International 2016.

The work is an installation that consists of a large area of bubble wrap covering the floor. In an attempt to promote some sort of action, the title acts as a dare and the audience decides how to respond. The work is about our relationship with sound and materials, and the nostalgia that can come from our experiences. The work aims to create a space where we can satisfy our curiosities, and act almost nostalgically with this banal material and its properties. The work should be playful - potentially noisy - and engage us in response and interaction between each other.
