UK Young Artists is delighted to announce that we have been successful in our application to become a National Portfolio Organisation for Arts Council England. We are proud of what we've achieved over the past nine years, supporting over 1500 artists across the UK through our inspirational and groundbreaking national and international activity.

Peter Knott, Area Director, Arts Council England said: “Opportunities for young people to take part in the arts are key to developing the next generation of creative talent and UK Young Artists provides a chance for emerging artist to develop across all artforms. We're delighted to be welcoming them into the portfolio for the next four years and it'll be great to see young artists have a chance to showcase their talents, both nationally and internationally."

We are elated that this work has been recognised by Arts Council England. This investment means that our work can continue to develop and our ambitions continue to grow; supporting more artists, connecting with more cultural organisations, and enabling artist mobility across the world.

In the live-streamed announcement Nicholas Serota, Chair of Arts Council England said that the portfolio represented organisations that are 'pushing the bar higher...showing what artistic ambition means' and that the organisations are 'leaders in their field'. We are honored to be part of the portfolio alongside 830 fantastic cultural organisations, working to deliver ACE's mission, great art for everyone.

Heartfelt congratulations to all organisations who are celebrating the NPO news!
