UK Young Artists is offering a fantastic opportunity to work with an international group of 10  young artists from the Republic of China and South Korea as part of the 2019 YIYUAN TANG Museum & Foundation Artshake in China in September 2019.

UK Young Artists will be selecting four artists whose work demonstrates a unique voice, and commitment to their practice. We are looking for artists who wish to work collaboratively and whose practice is currently or can lend itself to being created on site and be informed by a certain place. You must be adaptable and appreciative of new experiences and ways of working.  This “gathering” is offering artists an opportunity to work in a fluid and open way, creating work on site; in a group or independently. Materials will be sourced and found on site. Artists will be requested to respond the theme of ‘Nature and Light’ during the gathering.

Selected UK Young Artists will enjoy the following:

  • Up to 12 days in China

  • Introduction to the program and mentors

  • Participation in a final exhibition - the exhibition will continue to run for 15 days
