Wiracha Daochai

Wiracha, in Buddhist monk's robe, stands and sits, still, in serenity, in seven Buddha postures. People, from here and there, walk up to him, put gold leaves on his body, as if they are worshipping the seven Buddha postures.
 
It is curiously interesting that westerners are intrigued by the physicality of the Buddha sculptures and easterners worship cement statues; while the Buddha's teachings suggest that we worship virtues and those who perform good deeds.
