The Sterling Trio was formed in 2006 at the Royal Northern College of Music. Since this time, they have established themselves as an exciting, innovative and engaging chamber ensemble showcasing the rich diversity of music for flute, clarinet and piano. They pride themselves on a creative and versatile approach to music-making, striving for the highest standard of performance both as musicians and communicators.

The Sterling Trio are pleased to be working with Richard Dawson (Arbarus), a Manchester-based visual artist who specialises in moving image, installation and sculptural media; a collaboration which has led to the creation of a video installation accompanying the live performance of Music for the Imagination.
