Kiran is interested in exploring the construction of male identity in a post-colonial, globalised context. Throughout various locations in Shanghai, she offered 25 Chinese men an opportunity to have their photograph taken wearing joke spectacles that have eyes painted within the frame, thus hiding the wearer's real eyes and giving them a comic appearance.
