Antje Hildebrandt

Antje Hildebrandt is a contemporary dancer and choreographer who specialises in dance theatre, live art and performance work.

Hybrid is a collaborative work with composer Adam Weikert and five dancers. This contemporary dance piece investigates the relationship between music, dance and the spatial relationship of the performers.

'Hybrid asks questions about the nature of dance and its presentation. What is dance? What isn't dance? What are the rules when performing? Is there a right and a wrong way of dancing?' explains Antje.

'The sound score is born out of the hybrid relationship between dance and music and this performance piece seeks to contextualise that and treat them as one and the same.'

Hybrid was performed as part of a national and international tour in 2007 including an event at the Siobhan Davies Studios in London.
